Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born in Winona Minnesota. She was named by her parents for the town where she was raised up. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was from a Jewish family. Ryder considers herself Jewish. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder and her family relocated to California's Mendocino County at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. There they didn't have electricity.
